About

My name is Kelly Christian, and I am a graphic designer from southern Ohio. I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Print Journalism at the W. Page Pitt School of Journalism at Marshall University, with a minor in graphic design.

I began my design career working as a copy editor/page designer intern at The Herald-Dispatch in Huntington, West Virginia, and continued there throughout college and a year after graduation, building my skills in both news and design. Although I loved working in news, I developed an even greater passion for graphic design during my junior and senior years at Marshall University. After four years in news, I decided to fully pursue Graphic Design.

I currently work as a full-time Graphic Designer at a health system in southeastern Ohio. As a graphic designer in the healthcare field for five years, I have gained extensive experience designing a wide range of graphic and communication projects including, but not limited to, brochures, social media communication, advertisements, print and electronic newsletters, annual reports, billboards, mailers, simple animated content, and website management. I also work with colleagues within the marketing department as well as colleagues throughout the system to plan, coordinate, and execute marketing campaigns and other various projects. I am responsible for brand management and all visual communication from the planning stages through delivering the final product, ensuring print and/or quality of the finished product.
